Recycling

The use of secondary raw materials is important, because it reduces the need to extract raw materials from the Earth and therefore entails less impact on the environment, as well as significant energy savings.

The management philosophy of Metaplas

Plastic recycling > thanks to the re-processing of plastic waste, selected by type and colour, it is possible to produce a new "second raw material”. This is important for energy and raw materials saving and to reduce the accumulation of non-biodegradable substances in the environment.

Paper recycling > transforms a linear movement into a circular one. Paper no longer passes from the forest to the landfill: recycling triggers a circular movement where some used paper returns to the paper mills and then on the market again.

Glass > it is a completely recyclable material, even for several times. Recover glass reduces the need for silica sand and, therefore, avoids the depletion of river beds and highly impact extractive activities.

Wood recycling > it means giving more valueto trees, reducing the impact of wood waste on the environment and reducing thegreenhouse effect. The importance of recovery activities istherefore linked to both the environmental impact and the industrialization: this activity is essential to help our planet, as it reduces the consumption of raw materials, the use of energy and the associated greenhouse gases emission.
